Is it possible to have an organ in the body that is no longer of any use? The answer most of us come up with is no, but in truth there are some such organs. The fact is that as we human beings evolved in terms of developments and civilization, there are a lot many things that we do not need to do any more. While this is a fact that we should be proud of and we are, the flip side is that our bodies or more specifically body parts have not kept up with the developments.
This is especially true in the sense of certain organs that are present that have no longer a function to perform in the human body. Coming to know of this could be a matter of surprise and bewilderment to to you, but it is true. Most of the time we may not want to part with an appendix unless it starts causing you pain or the wisdom teeth when they open up a whole lot of troubles for you. Here is a list of organs or parts in the body that are no longer of any use for us:
Male nipples: We simply cannot conceive of any use for this organ. Well, can you?
Appendix: Though now it is not of much use that we know of as such, an observation by Darwin says that this part was good for digestion when human beings ate a lot of plants in the early days. Since we now eat foods that are simpler to digest this does not have much to do.
